Delta State governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, has emerged the Vice-Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 presidential elections.
Sources close to the Governor, said Atiku, the Presidential candidate of the Party, picked Okowa as his running mate on Thursday in Abuja.
Also, a source at the national secretariat of the party, confirmed the development to THEWILL.
Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike and Okowa, were top contenders for the Vice-Presidential slot.
The duo are currently at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja.
The formal declaration of Okowa as the PDP running mate to the Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar is expected to be announced shortly.
