Anambra  Indigenes in Ebonyi drum support for Ozigbo

Anambra indigenes residing in Ebonyi state have drummed support for the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Chief Valentine Ozigbo in the forth-coming  November 6, Anambra election.

The Chairman Anambra Association of town union, (ASSATU) Bar. Uchenna Mpiatu,  while receiving the governorship candidate at Salt Lake hotels in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital on Saturday, september 4, during his visit, congratulated him on his victory at the Court of Appeal as the lawful candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2021 Anambra governorship election.

The town union chairman promised Ozigbo of their support as all card carry indigenes of Anambra State have unanimously agreed to go home and vote PDP come November 6 election.

He charged him to prioritize the issue of unemployment and create jobs that’ll change the narrative and transform Anambra State when elected into the lion building.

Earlier in his remark, the governorship candidate, Chief Valentine Ozigbo appreciated the Anambra indigenes for their support, describing his Friday’s Appeal Court verdict which declared him as the valid candidate of the PDP as a victory for democracy,  the people of Anambra State and those who took him to court.

He urged his supporters and the people of Anambra state to be firm and resolute in their determination for a new Anambra state under his governorship.

Ozigbo called on his opponents in PDP, Anambra indigenes in Ebonyi to join hand for the victory of the party at the poll.

He assured members of his party and the people of the state of the preparedness of his campaign organization and the leadership of the PDP to stop the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) from rigging the election against the choice of the people.

He described his candidature as a divine arrangement, adding that his Friday Appeal Court victory which affirmed him as the lawful candidate of the party was a victory for democracy, the people of Anambra state, and for the people who took him to court.

“What we achieved on Friday was a victory for the Anambra people including those who took me to court. And so, I will make effort to actually call them which I am doing. Our opponent is not within, he is on the outside. And so, I am using this medium to urge everybody, let’s come together. This is the time for PDP to take over Anambra State and nothing will be spared. This judgment will boost our momentum and I am going to win the election,” he said.
