The All Progressive Congress (APC) has debunked the reports making round that the deputy Guber Candidate of the party, Princess Patricia Obila has resigned her position as the running mate for the governorship candidate, Rt.Hon.Francia Nwifuru.
In a press release signed by the party’s Secretary, Hon.Charles Chukwuma Ofoke and made available to thevoiceonline, he dismissed the rumour describing it as baseless, and fruitless propaganda, while alleging that the report as the handiwork of mishiveous enemies of the party.
The statement reads ” after losing grounds in the ongoing elections, some insignificant sets of individuals have been working tirelessly to tarnish the glaring images of our Party and Candidates, as means to register their misfortunes.
“Last week, it was the rumours about our Gubernatorial Candidate’s ill-health, which he rightly refuted, and they have come up with this one this week. However, all their propaganda are dead on arrival, as they are too cheap and hold no waters.
“We condemn this rumour in its entirety, as it is untrue, fallacious and fabricated. it is a clear handiwork of mischievous enemies of the Party and Ebonyi State Government ably led by His Excellency, Engr. David Nweze Umahi.
“contrary to their claim that the Deputy Governorship Candidate resigned due to health issues, we want to state emphatically that, Princess Obila is fit, hale and hearty, and is ready for the job ahead,”he stated.
He assured members of the public to remain calm and ignore the report as the party has no plans to change any of its candidates in the gubernatorial and state assembly elections.
