BREAKING: 1 officer killed, another injured as hoodlums attack Abaomege police station in Ebonyi

Unknown Gunmen have attacked the Abaomege Police station in Onicha local government area of Ebonyi state
THE VOICE gathered that a police officer on duty during the attack was killed while another was seriously injured and is currently hospitalized.
According to the source, “Yes, some unknown gunmen attacked Abeomege police station and a policeman was killed while another was hospitalized following an injury sustained in the attack”.
“The injured policeman is currently receiving treatment at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital Abakaliki” he stated.
Recall that at the beginning of last week two soldiers were shot dead at a military checkpoint in Amasiri, Afikpo North local government area of Ebonyi state, while Ebonyi police command has continued to record pockets of attacks on its personnel and properties in the state.
All efforts by our reporter to reach the Ebonyi Police public relations officer, was not successful as she didn’t respond to text messages sent or calls put across to her at the time of filling this report.
