Do Not Sabotage the Government You Are Working Under – Commissioners Workers

 

Ebonyi State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engr. Ogbonnaya Obasi Abara has charged workers to eschew acts of insubordination and always show cooperation to the Government in place through dedication, commitment to duty and other relevant engagements.

 

The Commissioner who gave the charge during the 2021 annual Thanksgiving service of the Ministry on Tuesday said that respect to people in authority is an obedience to God’s injunctions and has its rewards from God and humanity. Stressing that diligence is a yardstick to achieving success.

 

Engr. Abara noted that contrary actions to Government policies and inconsequential conducts against its programmes are sabotaging tendencies that attracts sanctions and called on workers to maintain dutifulness at all times.

The Ministry of Works and Transport boss thanked God for His grace and faithfulness upon the staff of the Ministry adding that the weekly prayer is very rewarding as testimonies of God’s protection abound. He said that the thanksgiving service was to appreciate God for all He has been doing for the Ministry in line with Governor David Nweze Umahi’s regular disposition towards godliness.

Commissioner Abara announced packages of Christmas bonus for all the staff, incentives and other awards for outstanding performances and good service delivery.

Earlier in his sermon, the Spiritual Director of the Ministry of Works and Transport Prayer Cell, Pastor Success Tobias traced the historic importance of thanksgiving to the scripture and said that giving thanks to God is a key to opening more doors of blessings. He called on workers to take the prayer seriously and always be ready to appreciate God through thanksgiving and as well give arms to the needy as another way of attracting God’s blessings.

 

 

The occasion was well attended by stakeholders of Ministry of Works and Transport including the Ebonyi State Road Maintenance Agency (EBROMA) and also Ebonyi State Transport Cooperation (EBOTRANS) which was led by the General Manager, Barr. Chukwuemeka Ngbeke.
