EBONYI ASSEMBLY PASSES MOTION ON DIRECT LABOUR

 

 

 

The Ebonyi State House of Assembly has passed a motion for construction of proposed 5km concrete roads in all the thirteen Local Government Areas of the Ebonyi State.
Moving the motion, the member representing Izzi East constituency in the State House of Assembly Rt Hon. Chief Anthony Onyibe Nwegede stated that the proposed 5km concrete road in all the thirteen Local Government Areas of the State should be done through direct labour.

 

Hon. Nwegede who is the chairman House committee on Local Government and EBSIEC matters while highlighting the importance of the motion maintained that direct labour in the project execution will ensure speedy and quality of works in the handling of the road construction.

 

Seconding the motion, the Leader of the House and member representing Ezza North West constituency Hon. Victor Chukwu while urging his colleagues to support the motion said direct labour projects will allow trusted engineers to be involved in the execution of good jobs.

 

 

The motion was put to vote by the speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly and it was unanimously adopted .
The House equally screened and confirmed members of Ebonyi State Secondary Education Board and Ebonyi State Revenue Appeal Commission nominated by the State Governor.
