The Commissioner for Trade and Investment in Ebonyi State Barr. Chioma Nweze has congratulated the governor of the state, Engr. David Umahi following his victory as the Senator elect for Ebonyi South Senatorial District.
Barr Nweze said Umahi’s electoral victory is a strong testimony to his charismatic mass appeal and rock-solid grassroots support from your grateful constituents.
She said: “On behalf of myself, family and the Management and Staff of the Ministry of Trade and Investment, I extend to you our warmest congratulations, Your Excellency, Engr (Chief) David Umahi CON, on your triumphant emergence as winner of Ebonyi South Senatorial election held on Saturday, 25th February 2023.
“Your Excellency, this latest electoral victory is a strong testimony to your charismatic mass appeal and rock-solid grassroots support from your grateful constituents.
” I congratulate also the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), for maintaining control, in an emphatic manner, over the Senate and the House of Representatives.
” As one who has navigated through the rudiments of leadership, we have no doubt, Your Excellency, that your movement to the National Assembly would be a soujoun through familiar terrain, where your knowledge will pay off in leveraging your connections, political pedigree and ideological sophistication to further advance the course of Ndigbo in general.
“As Ebonyi people, we are confident that you’re the long-sought breath of fresh air that will help confront critical strategic matters of interest to Ebonyi South senatorial District and the state at large.
” Your Excellency, we in Ebonyi South are particularly delighted that you have made us proud by unrelentingly redefining governance, including pioneering the construction of roads with concrete pavement in all the 13 Local Government Areas of the State, construction of the highest number of flyovers in South East having built over 14 flyovers with beautiful aesthetic finishings, construction of the biggest International Airport fashioned after Lagos and Abuja, sitting on 4×4 km land and 3.5 km runway, construction of Africa’s biggest luxury Shopping Mall, construction of Africa’s biggest University of Health Sciences with a Centre of Excellence for the treatment of heart diseases, Liver and Cancer problems, and construction of Africa’s biggest State Ecumenical Centre with World-class facilities, new Government House, modern estates, street lights across the State, complete urbanisation of rural communities, chains of empowerment programmes which are touching the lives of the inhabitants of Ebonyi State, among other colourful legacy projects for which we will forever be thankful.
