Emma Uzor

Ebonyi State Governor, Engr. David Umahi, has reappointed his former Chief Press Secretary, Sir Emma Uzor, as Special Assistant on Fruits/Food Market Development.

He announced Uzor’s portfolio during the swearing of more aides at the exco Chambers Abakaliki, on Monday.
Umahi noted that his former Chief Press returned to his government as a result of his loyalty to his administration.

He said that what led to Uzor’s sack was a mistake on his part, following his reaction on the issue of livestock, stressing that the issue was a very sensitive one and that his then press secretary didn’t handle it well.

The Governor ruled out any political motive for Uzor’s reaction, adding that he has always been a loyal fellow.
“I needed you to continue with the team because I consider what happened as a mistake. South East governors support livestock but it is not compulsory for every state.

“I want us to have vegetable markets, we can set up a place where we can store our vegetables and fruits. We will also build a cold room for our fish and by so doing, you get something to be doing there”.

Also, Mr. Emeka Andrew Nwankwo, was sworn in as Special Assistant to the Governor on ICT.

He also made a minor cabinet reshuffle. Mr. Emmanuel Igwe who was formerly Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Documentation is now reassigned as Special Assistant to the Governor on Parks Development.

While Mr. Francis Nweze is now Special Assistant on New Media and Project Documentation.
