Ebonyi state University (EBSU)Abakaliki has held her 24th matriculation ceremony with over 5000 students in admittance.
Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Chigozie Ogbu charged the matriculating students to focus on their studies and avoid getting involved in cult activities, examination malpractice and many other vices that could jeopardize their major aim of being on campus.
Prof Ogbu assured the students of the University’s both academic and non academic staff resolve to assist them achieve their lofty dreams and encouraged them to expose any case of intimidation from older students for approximate penalties.
The VC disclosed that the University currently ranks 2nd in South East and 8th in Nigeria,urging the new intakes to count themselves lucky and make best use of the opportunities provided by the University.
