The First Lady of Ebonyi State, Chief (Mrs.) Mary-Maudline Nwifuru, has extoled the management and teachers of Comprehensive School of Management and Technology (CSMT), Abakaliki, for their dedication in shaping the lives of children.
The commendation was made during the Royal Fest celebration at the school, which coincided with the 2025 Children’s Day celebration.
Mrs. Nwifuru emphasized the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, free from bullying and fear.
“We must ensure that our children feel safe and supported in their educational journey,
“As the First Lady, I am committed to supporting initiatives that promote the welfare and well-being of children in Ebonyi State. Mrs Nwifuru stated.
The Sole Administrator of CSMT Schools Abakaliki, Precious Offor Okorie, highlighted the need for the Ebonyi State Government to prioritize children’s welfare in its budgetary allocations.
According to her: “Children are the leaders of tomorrow, and it is our responsibility to ensure they receive the care and support they need to thrive. “
The Chairman of the occasion, Kelechi Elem, underscored the vital role families play in supporting both schools and children.
“When we talk about children, we’re not just talking about future leaders; they are our potentials, they are our tomorrow,” he said.
The event was attended by parents, teachers, and students of CSMT Schools Abakaliki
