Ebonyi Commissioner  Fidelis Nweze Dies in Auto Crash

… Gov. Umahi Declares Wednesday public Holiday

The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Infrastructure for concession, Engr. Fidelis Nweze Kings is dead.

Governor David Umahi announced this at the new government House Abakaliki that Engr. Nweze  died on Tuesday morning at the Turkish Hospital Abuja from degrees of injuries sustained in a ghastly motor accident along Eke Obinagu in Enugu state, on Saturday, June 19, around 7:00pm when his vehicle collided with a stationed trailer.

Umahi further declared Wednesday, June 23rd a public holiday to honour late Engr, Fidelis Nweze,  and Late Engr. Mrs. Uchechi Oka, Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Engr. who passed on barely one month ago after a protracted illness.

He ordered that all offices and markets should remain closed while all flags are to fly at half mast on Wednesday, June 23rd 2021 across the State.

The Governor  also ordered all Government officials to proceed on fasting to seek the face of God in the Affairs of the State also calling on CAN  to organize Prayers to break the fast by 4pm at Christian Ecumenical Centre every day, starting from Wednesday, June 23 to Saturday, June 26, 2021.
