Gov. Umahi discharge 148 indigent patients

*Doles out 24 milliON NAIRA for medical bills

Over one hundred and forty eight (148) helpless indigent Patients in the various wards in Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital, Abakiliki, Ebonyi State have been discharged by the governor of Ebonyi State Chief Engr David Umahi.

Gov Umahi doled out 24 Million Naira to settle the medical bills of the one hundred and forty eight stranded patients told them go home and celebrate the Christmas with their loved ones and families. The governor also gave each beneficiaries wrapper, a bag of rice and the sum of five thousand Naria to celebrate the season.

The event which happened on Wednesday 23 December, 2020 was in line with governor extending his magnanimity to all the higher institutions in the State by doling out Gifts worth millions of naira to them as their Christmas gifts.

Speaking on the Governor’s generosity, one of the media aides to the Governor Godwin Ekoyo took to his Facebook account identified as Godwin Ekoyo JP to share the report, while he described the Governor as a man with a large heart, enjoining other governors to emulate him.

“Governor Umahi is a man with large heart. He is known for his generosity which spreads beyond State to other climes of the country without regards to sex, race and religion.
Other Governors are hereby encouraged to emulate the governor of Ebonyi State” he said.
