I am ready for Umahi’s probing – Sen Egwu
The former Governor and Senator representing Ebonyi North Senatorial District Senator Sam Egwu has said he is ready to be probed by Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi
Egwu made this known in a phone conversation with our correspondent recently
He said probe is for anybody who has occupied public office before. Adding that Umahi will equally be probed too after leaving office
Recall that Umahi reiterated that very soon he will start probing of all corrupt the officers including Egwu over his tenure and he will come and account for looting Ebonyi State Government wealth while in office
Egwu further noted that he visited Umuogudu Akpa Ngbo community in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State after they were attacked by suspected Fulani herdsmen, appealed to them for calmness in a joint press conference with Senator Abba Moore. Saying that he never incited anybody as claimed by Governor Umahi.
Our Correspondent also gathered that Egwu said in his motion at the floor of the Red Chamber he called on National Emergency Management Agency Nigeria (NEMA) to supply food items and other relief materials to the affected people in Umuogudu Akpa community of Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
