Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi state has sworn in thirty-five commissioners and additional Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants.

Nwifiru while inaugurating the new Exco members urged them to join hands with him to transform the State with a caution against abusing their office.

He however noted that he didn’t appoint the Commissioners for political patronage.

“As you all know, this is a call to serve, while I congratulate you, i implore you to take your duties seriously and I say it clearly, the appointments are not for political patronage.
“If I see lapses in your office, you are leaving the next minute and I can never call you back.
“Our State is very charged waiting for our leadership style and we must show them what we have for them and show them that we have the capacity to deliver.”

The Commissioners sworn in are Engr. Stanley Lebechi Mbam, Works and Transport, Dr. Leonard Uguru, Finance, Dr. Matthew Nwobashi, Lands and Survey, Prof. Omari Omaka (SAN), Tertiary Education, Prof. Nwogo Obasi, Market Development & Parks, Elijah Okwu Oko Udu, Skill Development & Job Creation, Prince Etta Uka Ude, Internal Security, Hon. Victor Chukwu Uzoma, Environment, Jude Chikadibia Okpor, Information and State Orientation, Chidi Onyia, Solid Minerals, Oguzor Offia Nwali, Commerce and Industry, Mrs. Aligwe Ann, Human Capital Development and Prof. Paul Awo Nwobashi – Education (Primary & Secondary)

The Governor  also swore in the Chief of Staff, Professor Emmanuel Echiegu and Deputy Chief of Staff, Engineer Timothy Nwachi.

On-behalf of the appointees, the Chief of Staff, Professor Emmanuel Echiegu thanked the Governor for finding them worthy to serve and assured that they would work hard to justify the confidence reposed in them.
