Over 200 undergraduate students from Ezekoma Development Centre, in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, have received bursary grant.
The grant, which was disbursed by the Development Centre Coordinator, Chinasa Nwankwo, on August 3, 2025, captured over 200 undergraduate students from Agba, Akwurakwu, and Ohofia communities in the area.
Nwankwo while speaking to journalist said the bursary payment was part of her administration’s commitment to supporting education and youth development as outlined in Governor Nwifuru’s People’s Charter of Needs manifesto .
She stressed that the bursary grant is expected to have a significant impact on the students’ academic pursuits, alleviating the financial burden on their parents and enabling them to pursue their education without undue stress
According to Nwankwo : “This demonstrates our Development Centre commitment to supporting the state government’s efforts in providing access to education in rural communities, promoting equitable, affordable, and non-discriminatory assistance to the rural populace.” She stated
In their heartfelt gratitude, Beneficiaries who spoke to The Voice, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Nwankwo for her kindness, generosity, and dedication to the education of her people..One of the beneficiaries appreciated the coordinator’s investment in their future, stating that the grant would enable them to focus on their studies and achieve their goals.
