Lady Mabel Aleke To be Buried July 16th

Remains of the Ex- Senior Technical Assistant to the Governor David Umahi on Co-Operatives Lady Mabel Ozueaku Aleke will be laid to rest on Friday, July 16, 2021 in Ebonyi.

Mabel Aleke passed-on on the 9th April 2021 after a protracted illness.

According to burial arrangements signed by her husband, Charles Aleke, the Interment will take place after the funeral mass at her home town in Amovu, Ishielu community Ezzamgbo, Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

Late Mabel Aleke who was aged sixty-eight (68) years old before her demise had served in various capacity in the state among which were as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development between 2007-2009, Member representing Ohaukwu South Constituency, Ebonyi State House of Assembly 2011-2015 amongst others.

She also served as Senior Technical Assistant to the Governor on Co-Operatives from June 2017 – May 2019 and was a Member of the Local Government Advisory Committee August 2019 – the position she held till she passed on.

She was unable to complete her Bar Examinations which she deferred in view of the last election in 2019 before she passed on. She was an Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Mediation and Conciliators.

Left to mourn her are her husband, five surviving children and sixteen grandchildren, two immediate brothers, three sisters and many other close family relations.
