Odefa Congratulates Newly Elected Ebonyi PDP Chairman, Tochukwu Okorie

The National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Southeast Zone, Chief Ali Odefa has congratulated the newly elected Ebonyi State Chairman of the party, Hon. Tochukwu Okorie.

Odefa who also congratulated all the newly elected  party executives at the ward and the local government levels thanked the immediate past acting chairman of the party in the state for his patriotism and service to the party.

In a press statement issued on Sunday, a copy of which was made available to THE VOICE, Odefa expressed gratitude to  the members of the party in Ebonyi State for their “orderly and peaceful conduct” throughout the party congresses.

The statement reads in part:“ We congratulate our members for their steadfastness, doggedness, focus and most importantly their peaceful conduct throughout the congresses.

“The peaceful conduct and orderly manner in which the congresses held in the last one month has once again brought to the fore the maturity and internal democratic culture that our great party is known for.

“We congratulate and thank the immediate past Acting State Executives of our great party led by the indefatigable, Hon. (Elder) Fred Udeogu for their commitment and great sacrifices to our great party and the growth of democracy and the rule of law in Nigeria.

“Our party leaders in Ebonyi State have reinforced the confidence of Ndi Ebonyi in the hope that the PDP will once more make Ebonyi people happy again in 2023, Ebonyi State is indeed 100% PDP!

“We thank all our leaders in Ebonyi State, especially their Excellencies, the Former President of the Senate and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Chief Anyim Pius Anyim, the first elected Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Sen. Sam Ominyi Egwu, Sen. Obinna Ogba, our National Assembly members and a host of others too numerous to mention.”

Odefa urged the new State Executives of the party to “to always abide by their oath of office as our people have reposed on them a great confidence which must never be betrayed.”
