The National leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP have identified Tochukwu Okorie as the party’s Chairman in Ebonyi State.
The party stated this in a letter addressed to the Chairman, independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, dated Tuesday, 31st May, 2023 and signed by the National Chairman, Iyochia Ayu and the Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu
The PDP National leadership urged the commission to accord Okorie the necessary support he might need to perform his constitutional roles as the party Chairman in Ebonyi State
The letter reads in parts: “Please refer to our letter which informed the commission of the party’s decision to comply with the Federal High Court decision in Suit #FHC/ABJ/CS/139/2021.
“We now wish to inform the commission that the Appellate Court has upturned the decision of the Lower Court in Suit #CA/CV/444/2022 and total obedience to the Appellate Court judgement, our recognised State Chairman in Ebonyi is Mr Okorie Tochukwu Okoroafor.” it read.
The letter was also copied to the Resident Electoral Commission, REC, Ebonyi State Chapter.
