Police Arrest 2 suspects for killing Ebubeagu personnel in Ebonyi

 

 

Ebonyi State police command has confirmed the arrest of two suspects connected to the killing of one Ifeanyi Orogbowhow, who until his death was a member of the Ebubeagu security network in Ebonyi State.

 

It was gathered that the 32-year-old victim was murdered and partially burnt by an unknown assailants .

 

It was further gathered, that the killing which took place at night occured at the victim’s drinking joint at Igweledeoha, Amagu in Ikwo Local Government Area

Confirming the incident, the Police spokesperson, Loveth Odah stated “The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ikwo Police Division said “at about 3:00 a.m. that he received a phone call from one source at Igweledeoha Amagu Ikwo that one Ebubeagu security outfit, Ifeanyi Orogbo, 32-year-old who is indigenous to Igweledeoha was murdered and partially burnt by unknown people in his beer parlour shop along Eke Achara-Agubia Road.

“The DPO said as he received the information, he quickly mobilised a team of police operatives to the area but the culprits had deserted the area. He said the corpse has been taken to a general hospital for preservation and autopsy.”

 

The spokesperson said two persons suspected to be involved in the murder of the Ebubeagu official have been arrested by the police.

 

She said the state Commissioner of Police, Garba Aliyu has expressed dismay over the killing of the Ebubeagu security official and has vowed to bring the perpetrators to book.
