…Decomposing corpse discovered days after

A retired Tonimas Oil company staff that came home to rest after toiling for years has been murdered in his country home at Etiti Uburu in Ohaozara local government area.

The decomposing body of Mr. Eze Burges was discovered in his home days after he was strangled to death by yet to be identified killers.

According to family source who doesnt want his name to be mentioned, the deceased who was in his 50s was blindfolded with sellotape, while he was tied to his seat with wire and his legs were filled with bruises.

He revealed that the deceased pot of soup was found in his kitchen filled with Margot.

Disclosing that his house and his whole compound were ransacked by his killers, and that it was when the community discovered the decomposing corpse that they informed HRH Eze Umezurike who reported the incident to police in Uburu.

In her reaction, the state Police public relations officer, DSP Loveth Odah confirmed the report.

She noted that the victims body was already swollen and decomposing with his pot of soup filled with Margot when he was discovered.

Odah reiterated that the incidence happened days ago and that the deceased bags and everything in the house were ransacked.

She stated: “The mans decomposing corpse has been removed and taken to Presbyterian Joint hospital Uburu for autopsy.

“The command will get to the root of this matter as I talk to you now the commissioner of police has ordered for full investigation into the matter and we implore members of the public with useful information to help the police to unravel those behind the death of this man.

“They can send unanimous text message of any useful information to the police. This man is retired and he returned home only to be killed”.
