Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state, serving Senator Micheal Ama Nnachi, and a former member of the House of Representatives, Linus Abaa Okorie, have made the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)’s final list as candidates of their various parties for Ebonyi South Senatorial District ahead of 2023 general elections.
Umahi made the list as candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Micheal Ama Nnachi is for the PDP while Linus Abaa Okorie made the list for the Labour Party.
Other candidates for the zone include Eleje Ifeanyi Inya(APGA), Kelechi Nnachi(SDP),Akpa Nweze Innocent (ADC), Reuben Uche(AA), Ogbonna Idam(NNPP) and Ibeabuchi Ajah(NRM).
Umahi, whose second term in office ends in May next year will battle in the polls to become the first Governor of the state to go to the senate from the Government House.
