Ebonyi Information Commissioner Tasks Journalists On Development Journalism

The Commissioner for Information & State Orientation, Hon. Barr Orji Uchenna Orji has concluded a meeting with Journalists on strengthening of journalistic services in the state with a harp on development Journalism and balancing of stories
Barr. Orji who made ths known in a press briefing after his closed door meeting with Correspondents Chapel, Abakaliki, this 11th of February, 2021, said he was overwhelmed by the wonderful sense of judgement by the journalists on the unprecedented transformational strides of Ebonyi State Government under the able leadership of His Excellency Engr Chief David Nweze Umahi FNSE FNATE,Governor of Ebonyi State.
He commended the Journalists in the State for their assurances of unwavering commitment towards upholding the tenets of develoment journalism and story balancing as a panacea for the sustenance of good governance in a contemporary democratic society.
Orji thanked the Journalists on their offer to be part of the historic governance in the state by making themselves available in any possible media tour to all the wonderful life changing projects of the state government.
Responding on behalf of others, the Chairman of Correspondents chapel, Mr Jacob Ogodo appreciated the Commissioner for the interaction and commended the Ebonyi State Governor, Engr David Nweze Umahi for his developmental strides in the state
Mr Ogodo also appreciated the environment given to the journalists in the state to discharge their duties.
He disclosed plans and readiness of the journalists to tour the numerous infrastructural projects of the state to enable them showcase to the word ‘the possibilities of governance powered by passion and selflessness’
