The Commissioner for Tertiary Education in Ebonyi State, Prof C. Amari Omaka, SAN, has advised undergraduates in institutions of higher learning to shun antisocial activities and remain focused  in their studies.

Prof Omaka made the charge during the 5th Matriculation and Capping ceremony of Ebonyi State College of Nursing and Midwifery Uburu which took place at the school premises over the weekend.

The Commissioner reiterated that Governor Francis Nwifuru has placed high premium on education which will not be compromised.

He charged the management, staff and students of the institution to keep faith in the Nwifuru led administration as he is poised to tackling all the perceived challenges that impede the growth of tertiary educational institutions in the state.

Prof Omaka emphasized that education and the health sector are cardinal to Governor Nwifuru’s administration, and all hands must be on deck to partner with government towards making this vision a reality.

In her address, the Provost of the college, Rev Sr Perpetua Ejimofor commended the government of Ebonyi State for establishing the school and highlighted some of the challenges of the institution which included dearth of portable water supply.

She  charged all the staff and students to sit up and embrace hard work in line with the target aspiration of the governor of Ebonyi state.
