Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state has sworn-in new appointees, at Executive Council Chambers, Ochoudo Centenary City, Abakaliki. 

The newly sworn-in appointees are: Mr Chidozie Igwe as the Special Assistant to the governor,  Eze Ama Okoro and Sampson Ukpai who were inaugurated as the Coordinators of Edda North and Ekumenyi Development Centres respectively.

Umahi equally swore in Barrister Stanley Odanwu, Okorie Ogbonnaya Philip, Obinna Ekezie, Alike Emmanuel, Dr Emmanuel Egba and Clement Nwoba as members of the Local Government Advisory Committee.

The governor while addressing the appointees, advised them to buckle up for service to the people of the State.

“There is nobody who works for the public with a clean heart that God will not take care of and I assure you that as you are working for the public, God will be working in your families,” he said.

He urged the appointees not to see their appointments as political patronage but as a call to contribute their quota to the development of the State.

Speaking on behalf of other appointees, Mr Chidozie Igwe appreciated Governor Umahi for considering them worthy to serve and however, promised to justify the confidence reposed in them
