Governorship’s Endorsement: Speaker Nwifuru Debunks Ucha’s Allegation
*Demands Unreserved Apology
The Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru has debunked the allegation levelled against him by a Governorship aspirant, Senator Julius Ucha describing it as false, misleading and spiteful comment against his person.
Speaker Nwifuru made this known through a press release made available to THE VOICE by his media aide, Leo Oketa on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 while reacting to the media reports ascribed to Sen.Ucha, it was alleged that the speaker plans to attack his properties and that of other aspirants because of his endorsement by the Governor, Engr. David Nweze Umahi.
The press release reads: “the noble attention of the Honourable Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has been drawn to a false, misleading, disreputable, and spiteful comments made against his person, by Sen. Julius Ali Ucha, during a press conference yesterday, April 26, 2022. ”
“Addressing the public during his press conference, Sen. Ucha stated, that he heard about Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru plans to attack him and his property in the State and other aspirants, because he has been endorsed”.

“Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru typifies everything peaceful. His reverential and unassuming personality negates every single word employed by Sen. Ucha in his comments.
Adding”while it is given that a miniature amount of people will not accept the glorious endorsements of Speaker Nwifuru by our superlative Governor, leaders, men, women, and youths in Ebonyi State including the Ezza Nation, it is to say the least, proper, that Sen. Julius Ali Ucha who had before now, been perceived as a respectable stakeholder in the State, should not base such dreadful and false accusation on flimsy heresay”.
Stating that the endorsement of Speaker Nwifuru by the State Governor does not deny any aspirant from pursuing his or her political ambition , or foreclosing the purchase of forms by other aspirants.
While demanding that Sen. Julius Ucha produce evidence where Speaker Nwifuru made those alleged comments or withdraw those demeaning statements and tender an unreserved apology to Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
He further maintained that Speaker Nwifuru remains the peoples’ choice, and will always remain focused in discharging his mandate as the Honourable Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly and a fervent servant of his people.
While appreciating Governor Umahi for exemplifying justice and fairness in heeding the call of his people and the reports of the Ebonyi State zoning committee, by rotating the Governorship position back to Ebonyi North, he called on the people of Ebonyi to remain calm and disregard Sen. Ucha’s disgraceful comments and be peaceful in all their endeavour.
