The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Trade and Investment , Barr. Mrs. Chioma Omoke Nweze has been conferred with an Award of Excellence by the National Independent Media Practitioners, Ebonyi State Chapter.
Presenting the award during the ceremony at Centenary City Secretariat, Abakaliki, the National President of the Independent Media Practitioners of Nigeria, Comr. Nelson Nwefuru eulogized the Hon. Commissioner for her numerous achievements in Ebonyi State. He stated that the attention of the media was attracted to her numerous investment related projects carried out by her Ministry in the state and decided to recognize her efforts.
Earlier in his address, Cosmos Egba of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria moved a motion for the adoption of Barr. Mrs. Chioma Nweze as the patron of the Media Practitioners in Ebonyi State. This motion was unanimously adopted and confirmed.
In her response, the Hon. Commissioner who was represented by her Special Assistant Mr. John Ugochukwu expressed optimism that the Ministry has been stirred by this singular award to another enviable heights.
The Hon. Commissioner appreciated His Excellency Chief Engr. David Nweze Umahi for giving her a platform to serve Ebonyi people. She pledged the Ministry’s unalloyed collaboration with the Media Practitioners in the State.
In his vote of thanks, the Head of Administration of the Ministry Mr. Joel Ebenyi appreciated the independent media practitioners of Nigeria for recognizing the Ministry under the able leadership of Barr. Mrs. Chioma Nweze. He charged the media practitioners to continue upholding their tenets of practices which made the media the fourth estate of the realm.
Mr. Ebenyi assured of effective collaboration and pledged that the Ministry will continue rolling out excellent services to the good people of Ebonyi State.
Barr. Mrs. Chioma Nweze who has carved a niche for herself in human development is a woman with multiple talents, seasoned administrator and a political office holder who has served Ebonyi State Government in various capacities.
The pioneer Commissioner for Ministry of Trade & Investment in Ebonyi State, the consultant to Ebonyi State Government on investment and General Manager of Ebonyi Investment and Property Company LTD.
The award was one of the numerous awards so far given to Barr. Nweze for her enormous contributions towards human capital development in Ebony State.
In attendance were over 15 media practitioners from various media firms in Ebonyi State and the management team of the Ministry of Trade and Investment, Ebonyi State.
