The entire family of the People’s Democratic Party in Ebonyi State have expressed their grief over the death of a party Chieftain, Chief Fred Uduego.

On Friday morning , news filtered in, on social media that the ex-PDP caretaker chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Ebonyi State has died in an undisclosed hospital in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

Udeogu, a former commissioner for grants and Donor Agencies in the State during the administration of Chief Martin Elechi , is best described as an influential politician and leader in the State.


He hailed from Inyimagu community in Ikwo LGA of Ebonyi State.
Commiserating with the family, the Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party , Nwoka Chika Nwoba, prayed that the good Lord would give the family the fortitude to bear the loss. While stating that the party will follow up on the burial preparations.

Also mourning the PDP chieftain, the President general of the Ikwo Noyo Youths Consultative forum, Dr. Nwancho Onyechi described the death as a huge loss to the entire Ikwo clan , as his death would create a vacuum that can never be filled.


Stating “it is with deep sense of sorrow and sadness that we the leadership of Ikwo Noyo Youths Consultative Forum write to express our shock on the news of the death of one of our illustrious sons and a great son of Ikwo Noyo in the person of late Elder Fred Udeogu , who before his death was a pillar and a man of great influence .

” His death alone has left a great vacuum that nobody can fill but we pray God Almighty to console the immediate family , Inyimegu/Mgabu community, Ikwo LGA and Ebonyi State in general in this challenging period. May his soul rest in peace. ” He stated.
