* Samuel Nchita-Led Ebonyi IPAC Disowns Nwogba Morgan
* Others Pledge Support To SA Inter-party

The Special Assistant to Ebonyi State Governor on Inter Party and Labour Matters, Hon. Mrs. Jennifer Adibe-Nwafor has described chairmen of the deregistered political parties in the State, led by one Morgan Nwogba, as illegal group seeking unnecessary attention.

She responded to the call for her removal as SA on Inter-Party Matters by members of deregistered political parties in the State, led by one Morgan Nwogba.

She explained that their falsehood and pressures will not move her to lie to the government that their parties are still existing whereas in the actual sense, they have been deregistered by INEC.

According to her, following the deregistration of 71 political parties early this year, Nwogba Morgan’s party, the United Patriot (UP) and those of his group were deregistered.

Sequel to this development, the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) members across, Nigeria, including Ebonyi state became only the eighteen political parties that are still in INEC register, pending the determination of the case before the Supreme Court.

The deregistered party chairmen

“In Ebonyi State we have only one IPAC led by Hon. Samuel Nchita. It is no longer news that earlier this year around February, INEC announced the deregistration of seventy-one (71) political parties, in which thirty-four of them approached the Court and the Court upheld the action of INEC. Twenty-two of the parties then went to the Appeal Court, but before then, IPAC at the National level led by Hon. Peter Ameh had peacefully constituted a national interim leadership wherein he handed over to Barr. Leonard Nzenwe of AAC who is currently the substantive National Chairman of IPAC.”
“The national chairman went round the 36 States to inaugurate interim leadership of IPAC. Ebonyi inauguration was on the 29th of July, 2020 and the interim committee members led by Nchita Samuel were selected from among the eighteen political parties recognized by INEC.

Later, when Appeal Court ruled that INEC did not follow due process in deregistering the political parties, rather than waiting for the directive of the National body, this other group in the State led by Morgan started making troubles.

“Meanwhile, INEC has refused to recognize them and has taken the matter to the Supreme Court and it has not been decided. In the recent Edo and Ondo governorship elections, only the eighteen political parties in the current INEC register were allowed to participate.”
“In Ebonyi here, I have called all the political parties including those that were deregistered and told them to remain calm that they will always be accommodated unofficially pending when the Supreme court gives her verdicts.”

“Despite this uncommon hands of fellowship, the said Morgan and his group continued to circulate false information about my office, IPAC and the State government. They are expecting me to tell lies that they are members of IPAC whereas they are not.”
“I want to let them know that they cannot force or pressurize me to do the wrong thing.”

“They should also know that the State government and the law enforcement agents will not fold their arms and watch them continue to cause troubles in the state. I have received series of reports and petition against this particular Morgan, alleging that he embezzled IPAC money, forged documents and peoples signatures, refused to hand over and even went about recruiting thugs into his unlawful group, holding illegal meetings in uncompleted buildings and beer palours in the name of IPAC.”

“I have invited him severally to advise him but he never showed up.”
“My advice to them is to desist from parading themselves as IPAC leaders and members; they should stop feeding the public with false information and acts that can breach public peace in the state. As a government representative, I will continue to advocate for peace, but if they refuse to adhere to this advise, government will have no other option than allow the law catch up with them.”

Meanwhile, members of the 18 registered and recognised political parties in Nigeria by the nation’s electoral umpire, INEC, under the auspices of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Ebonyi State Chapter under the leadership of Hon. Samuel Nchita has unanimously disowned one Morgan Nwogba and his cohorts who once served as Chairman of IPAC before his party was deregistered by INEC.

The decision to disown him and his cohorts follows his sudden resurrection together with other INEC deregistered political parties to parade themselves as members of Inter Party Advisory Council, duping and deceiving unsuspecting members of the public, clannish activities detrimental to the peaceful co-existence of IPAC and thereby, constituting security threats to members of the public.

Hon. Nchita said, “We received with dismay the unfortunate, frivolous, and mischievous allegations leveled against the Special Assistant to the Governor on Inter-Party and Labour Matters, Comr. (Mrs) Jennifer Adibe-Nwafor by one Morgan Nwogba and his cohorts, blackmailing her to gain cheap favour using one petition to smear her position.”

“We state categorically that Nwogba Morgan and his cohorts are no longer members of IPAC as their political parties have been deregistered by INEC and should cease to masquerade themselves as IPAC members whom they are not, as their parties have been deregistered. Parading themselves as political party chairmen only represent impersonation and deceit of the highest order, this is totally unacceptable and IPAC views Mr Nwogba’s activities as breach of public peace.”

“We urge Security Agents in the State to take notice and clampdown on these disgruntled elements marauding themselves and holding secret meetings in uncompleted buildings and beer parlours at late hours in the name of IPAC which they are not.”

“This is important because their actions are already constituting security threats and capable of breaching the fragile peace in the state following the recent protests that rocked the nation.”

“The intrigue by Morgan Nwogba and co to scuttle and dismantle the position of the SA on Inter Party And Labour Matters has further proved that their quest is borne out of greed, jelousy, envy, coveteousness, lasciviousness, greed and haters of excellent performances in office by the hon. SA”

“We are rightly aware that the actions of the embattled Nwogba Morgan and his cohorts are not unconnected with the frustration of deregistration of their political parties by INEC.”

“We therefore advice Morgan Nwogba and his cohorts to take their frustration to the institution that deregistered them or rather join other political parties that are recognised by the only electoral umpire in the country, INEC.”

“Comr. (Mrs) Jennifer Adibe-Nwafor is a woman of strength, character and integrity, who has vowed to always tow the path of truth and will not succumb to the pressures coming from the deregistered party chairmen for her to accept illegality. She has been discharging her duties creditably as SA on Inter party and Labour Matters, and has brought peace to IPAC without compromise seeking for.”
“We therefore urge the members of the public to disregard the lies and falsehood being peddled by Mr. Nwogba and his disgruntled elements.”

“We counsel Morgan Nwogba and his accomplices to desist from feeding members of the public with falsehood, fabrications and fallacies before the law catches up with them.”

“We, members of the registered and recognised political parties by INEC which represent the true IPAC in the state under the supervision of Comr. Mrs. Jennifer Adibe-Nwafor as the SA on Inter-Party hereby declare our total support, solidarity and pass vote of Confidence on Comr (Mrs) Jennifer Adibe-Nwafor and advise those hellbent on smearing ones image with unproductive petitions to get busy rather than running from pillar to post since INEC deregistered their political parties as their actions and inaction will not destabilize the relative peace in IPAC.”

“We thank His Excellency, Engr.Chief David Nweze Umahi for appointing Comr (Mrs) Jennifer Adibe-Nwafor and reiterate IPAC support and solidarity to His Administration which has placed Ebonyi State on the world map through his massive infractural and human development.”
“We salute your wisdom in choosing to champion the course of our people, you meant well for the South East and the entire nation. We assure you of our continuous support and use the opportunity to thank you for providing level playing ground for all political parties to operate in the state. Your Excellency, wherever you go be assured of our unalloyed support.”
