Ebonyi State, Governor David Umahi, has congratulated the State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Judicial Vicar of Catholic Dioceses of Abakaliki, Rev. Fr. Abraham Nwali, on his 25th priestly anniversary, describing him as a gift to humanity.

A press statement signed by the Special Assistant (SA) to the Governor on Social Media, Emmanuel Igwe, said Rev. Fr. Nwali’s 25 years priestly service in God’s vineyard has been impactful and eventful.

The Governor eulogized Nwali who is also his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Welfare and Religion, for his dedication to service to God and humanity and wished him good health and strength with which to continue the good work.

Umahi further thanked the Bishop of Abakaliki dioceses, Bishop Michael Okoro, and the entire Catholic community in the state for giving him Fr. Nwali to serve in his administration.

The Governor disclosed that Nwali’s service to his administration has immensely helped him in realizing his dreams of positively affecting the lives of the poor, the sick and the less privileged Ebonyians directly.

Umahi added that the department of Welfare and Religion manned by Nwali has recorded uncountable heart touching testimonies from Ebonyians who had received medical treatment from different ailments, sometimes abroad, free of charge, courtesy of his administration.

This, according to the Governor makes him feel fulfilled, because of the many lives that have been saved as well as many others that have been uplifted from poverty by his administration.
