Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has ordered the immediate employment of 195 health personnel to reposition the health sector in the thirteen General Hospitals in the State.

The governor made this known in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr Monday Uzor on Sunday.

The health personnel includes Doctors, Nurses, Laboratory Scientists, Pharmacists and Health Attendance.

The governor also directed the Head of Service, and Chairman Civil Service Commission to urgently commence the process of recruiting suitably qualified medical personnel to fill the existing vacancies.

The Statement reads in part “In fulfilment of his promise to reposition the health sector, the Governor of Ebonyi, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has approved the immediate recruitment of medical personnel for the thirteen General Hospitals in the State as follows:

“To this, His Excellency the Governor has directed the Head of Service, and Chairman Civil Service Commission to urgently commence the process of recruiting suitably qualified medical personnel to fill the existing vacancies”.
