The Deputy Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Chief Chinedu Onah representing Ohaukwu South Constituency has reiterated his readiness to give equal representation to the Hausa Community residing in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the state.

He stated this at the legislative complex Nkaliki Road Abakaliki during a courtesy visit by the Hausa Community.

Rt. Hon. Onah said that he was happy to welcome the first delegation to visit him in his new office as the deputy speaker of the State Assembly.

He maintained that the Hausa Community in Ohaukwu is no longer visitors but rather citizens of the state considering their peaceful co-existence in the state and contributions towards the development of the state.

The lawmaker reassured them of providing them their due dividends of democracy under the Chief Executive of the State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and as well urged them to continue to be law abiding citizens of the state noting that the Ebonyi State House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa was ready to pass laws that will ensure their adequate welfare in their place of residence.

The Deputy Speaker also expressed happiness over their continual partnership with the Ohaukwu Local Government Area administration.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Alhaji Salisu Yinusa (Spina) said that the essence of the visit was to familiarize with the office of the Deputy Speaker Hon. Chinedu Onah whom they considered as their own lawmaker.

Alhaji Yinusa said the Deputy Speaker was a good man who has always represented their interest informed decision to vote for him during the election.

He promised on behalf of the Hausa Community in the area to continue to support his leadership and always conduct themselves within the ambit of the law.

In a vote of thanks, Elder Bala Hamza thanked the Deputy Speaker and his entourage for the warm reception accorded to them and pledged to always identify with him at all times.
