The Coordinator of Amasiri Development Center of Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru Movement (FON ) Hon Eze Ogbonna has called on the newly sworn_in Ebonyi State Goverrnor,His Excellency Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru to ensure that Amasiri is prioritized in the new administration as Amasiri took the first position in the voting pattern in Afikpo North Local Government Area.
He equally maintained that almost 20% of the Internally Generated Revenue acruable to the State comes from the quarry business operating in Amasiri.
Hon Ogbonna then posited that the personality in Rt Hon Nwifuru is such that will always rise up to challenges and perform beyond expectations, the trait he has when he was the Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly where he made good legislations to be more effective for the Executive to perform better.
He said that the overwhelming supports that the new Goverrnor got from Amasiri was due to the fact that he was trusted to perform even better than his predecessors as he is young and vibrant.
Hon Eze Ogbonna then listed the areas where the newly sworn in Goverrnor could help in developing Amasiri to include Construction of Internal Roads, water supply and appointment of political office holders from Amasiri .
He then commended the entire members of Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru Movement and the entire Amasiri Community for rejecting monetary inducements to vote Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru as the new Goverrnor of the State.
He added that thier solidarity was a sign of sincerity of purpose meaning that Amasiri people know what they really want.
Also Speaking, the Secretary of the Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru Movement in Amasiri Development Center Mr Owaka Eric Eze said they have confidence in the Slogan of Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru which is continuety and consolidation, hence the general supports they gave the movement , during and after the general elections.
He therefore posited that to whom much is given more will be expected and called on the new Goverrnor to remember Amasiri based on the records that they have in the last election.
